香港青少年天文探索計劃，香港青少年天文學苑主辦，星河科研支持推行。7月份舉辦的6場望遠鏡及日晷製作，以及望遠鏡操作工作坊已正式展開。首日導師為 Lavender 姐姐。她數年前畢業於聖士提反女子中學，為當屆香港 DSE 榜眼，其後先後於英國 Imperial College 及牛津大學進修。現為星河科研社全職教育專員，專責統籌及推動各項教育活動。

學員完成相關計劃並提交報告後，將交由星河科研社及相關專家進行審議。達標者將按其表現及水平，獲頒金、銀或銅章證書。本屆計劃榮幸邀得中國科學院國家天文台王佳琪博士擔任審議專家，並獲首席科學家姜曉軍博士鼎力支持。

為推動這個探索計劃，我們投入了最優秀的專家、導師，以及完善的設施與器材資源。或許學員年紀尚輕，未必即時體會其中意義；然而十年樹木，百年樹人，我深信假以時日，成果必將逐步顯現。

Hong Kong Youth Astronomy Exploration Initiative, organized by Hong Kong Youth Astronomy Academy, supported by Galaxy Scientific Group. The six Telescope and Sundial Making Workshops, along with the Telescope Operation Workshops held in July, have officially commenced. The instructor for the first session was Lavender. She graduated from St. Stephen’s Girls’ College several years ago as one of the DSE top scorer. She subsequently pursued further studies at Imperial College London and the University of Oxford. She is currently a full-time Education Officer at Galaxy Scientific Group, where she is responsible for coordinating and promoting educational programs.

Upon completion of their projects and submission of reports, participants’ work will be reviewed by Galaxy Scientific Group and relevant experts. Those who meet the required standards will be awarded Gold, Silver, or Bronze certificates according to their performance level. This year’s program is honored to have Dr. Wang Jiaqi of the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as a reviewing expert, with the strong support of Chief Scientist Dr. Jiang Xiaojun.

To advance this exploration initiative, we have invested our finest experts, instructors, and comprehensive facilities and equipment. While our participants are still young and may not immediately appreciate the significance of these efforts, as the saying goes, "It takes ten years to grow trees, but a hundred years to cultivate people.” I firmly believe that, in time, the results will gradually become evident.
