與邵逸夫獎及諾貝爾獎天文學家共晉晚餐 Dinner with Shaw Prize and Nobel Prize Laureate

很榮幸我與太太獲邀出席 APRIM 2026 最高級別宴會，並與曾先後榮獲邵逸夫獎及諾貝爾獎的天文學家 Prof. Brian Schmidt 及邵逸夫獎最資深主管邵詠儀女士同枱。席間邵女士分享了不少邵逸夫獎及相關基金近年在不同慈善領域的工作，作為香港中文大學逸夫書院最早一批畢業生之一，我感受特別深刻。邵逸夫爵士不但透過影視事業把香港文化的影響力推向高峰，多年來在慈善公益方面亦一直貢獻深遠，這份偉大的精神至今仍不斷承傳。記得他離世後，不少內地網民透過地圖發現原來有那麼多「逸夫樓」，這份遍及中華大地的慈善足跡，令很多人深受感動。I was honored that my wife and I were invited to attend the highest-level banquet of APRIM 2026 and to share a table with Prof. Brian Schmidt, laureate of both the Shaw Prize and the Nobel Prize, and Ms Shiu, the Shaw Prize's senior executive. Ms Shiu shared the Shaw Prize and its related foundations' recent charitable work, which was especially meaningful to me as one of the earliest graduates of Shaw College at CUHK. Sir Run Run Shaw not only elevated Hong Kong’s cultural influence through film and television, but also left a profound philanthropic legacy. His great spirit continues to live on, reflected in the many "Shaw Building" across China that moved so many people after his passing.
